My story on the visit is at POINT's webpage. He ate at, you guessed
it....Howard's Steakhouse. I bought a $90 self-portrait wood piece. His
work is at House of Blues in North Myrtle Beach.

King in Conway, S.C. in the aftermath of flooding from Hurricane Floyd.
The man scooping water out of a sinking boat with a Salvation Army cup
at Savannah Bluff Landing outside of Conway found himself in this photograph

My article in the Athens News showed how the Southern Baptist
Diaster Relief Team assisted flood victims in Horry County, South Carolina
following Hurricane Floyd

This was the crest of the Conway flood at noon. People usually walk
where those posts are on the Riverwalk. I love the second photograph, taken
at First United Methodist Church in Myrtle Beach as video poker oppponents
met, with poker industry guys hiding incognito on the back row, as an officer
from the Horry County Police in Little River talked about how crime has
risen there. This group is now meeting to oppose a lottery in South Carolina.

Written in first-person, the Carolina News published this article on
the Conway, S.C. flood as waters lapped a block from our home before the
crest. It was a hairy deal.
